How does MilestonePlanner work?
Milestones
Milestones are placed on a timeline, and represent key achievements or deadlines in your plan . For example “Customer invoiced” or “Testing completed”. Milestones have an owner, the person responsible for meeting the milestone, a target date, a lead time, and a status.
Actions
Milestones can be broken down into smaller steps. These actions represent specific tasks or commitments that need to be completed in order to meet the milestone. Actions are assigned to a person in the plan and have their own status.
Workstreams
Workstreams are a powerful way to group milestones together and keep things easy to understand. Workstreams can represent areas of work, a specific objective, sub-teams or anything else that you find helpful. They provide a way to delegate responsibility for areas of a project.
